Brekkie

This is the way breakfast goes in our house these days. Sofia, Daddy and Jeeves all meet at 0645 on the floor in the kitchen while Mummy is in the shower for some yoghurt. Daddy and Sofia share and Jeeves waits oh so patiently for any leftovers!

Fun with Friends

A bit of a party

Last night we had a bit of a party to celebrate Meg and Clyde's birthdays. Of course it was wonderful to enjoy the company of our friends and have a delicious meal together but, as always, our three treasures were the stars of the show.

Peter shows us all how to play the guitar.

Sofia decides she can play the guitar as well.

Jake with his very best cheese smile.

Happy Birthday Meg and Clyde!

Okay, do these boys just get more and more handsome or what?

So, these three started pushing each other in the wagon......well, actually Sofia was pushing the boys around. Not hard to imagine is it? Sofia did let Peter push the wagon, but once was enough. She wanted to be in charge again after that. Sorry for all of the photos but they were having so much fun together and I couldn't help but snap a whole bunch of pictures.

The lads cleaning up. These boys could be keepers, Sof!!

Two years later....

Two years ago today we saw the face of our daughter for the very first time. All of a sudden this child that we had always dreamed of was real. She had a face and a name and we couldn't take our eyes off of her. It was so scary and so exciting at the same time.

Now, two years later this little girl has charmed the pants off of us. We cannot imagine our life without her.

Thank you Tina Marie for the awesome photos of Sofia for this montage. They capture her goofiness, her serious side, and her breathtaking beauty.

Bikes

Yesterday, we headed out with our friends downtown to watch the Prologue of the Amgen Tour of California bike race. It was cold and windy but thankfully the rain held off for the entire race. We got great seats just after the 180 degree turn and saw all of the riders go by. What a blast to see all of these great riders in the flesh and we look forward to following the rest of the race from our warm cozy seats on the couch.

One of the early riders. Even after the huge turn they were just coming out of these guys were moving. We have lots and lots of photos of empty street because we didn't hit the button on the camera quick enough to catch them.

Jake took a quick catnap. He was awake in time to see the big names go by.

Sof and Jake hanging out trying to stay warm.

Carlos Sastre on the move.

Leggo My Lego!!

Actually, that is not really an accurate title. Sofia is more than willing to share her Lego with anyone who wants to sit on the floor and play with her. We bought her some Lego for her birthday and without fail she pulls it out every night before bed to create some kind of crazy something. At first, she was just building towers of blocks, but after seeing what her Daddy can build with these wonderful, colorful blocks, she has started going wild. Looks like a trip to Legoland will definately be in our near future (are you reading this Kris?).

Playmates.....sort of!

Who knew when we picked up the most shy, nervous, skittish dog you have ever met from the Border Collie rescue that he would turn into such a loving, patient playmate for Sofia. She is very gentle to her animals most of the time, but she does like to test their loyalty every now and then.

Nothing like having a two year old practice her forward rolls into you, is there Barclay John?
